I have recently been appointed as Recorder & Baroque Flute Professor in the Department of Historical Performance at the London Performing Academy of Music.
25 years professional experience
I have over 25 years professional experience performing as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player as well as a teacher/lecturer on the recorder and baroque flute to all ages and levels all over the world.
I perform, record and broadcast with many of the leading Period Performance groups and orchestras in the U.K.
I coach professional musicians, train music teachers, teach students from beginners to aspiring professionals in varied places from music schools, music services, Universities and Music Colleges.
I am a member the Brook Street Band.
Royal Academy of Music
I trained at the Royal Academy of Music on a full scholarship and an entrance exhibition. I studied with Peter Holtslag and Anneke Boeke on recorder, and Lisa Beznoziuk and Rachel Brown on baroque flute.
I’m a member of the Brook Street Band. We regularly perform across the UK, and recently released a recording of Thomas Arne’s The Judgment of Paris to rave reviews. I’ve appeared with the Brook Street Band on BBC Radio 3 many times.

Teaching, masterclasses and private tuition
I’ve been teaching recorder and Baroque flute professionally for over 25 years.
I’ve taught over the world, including lectures and masterclasses in Brazil, Slovenia, Portugal, Hull and Birmingham Universities, and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
I have full DBS accreditation and undergo regular safeguarding training.
Performances
Performing live on BBC3 In Tune with the Brook Street Band.
I’ve performed at some of the world’s most prestigious venues including the Purcell Room, Cadogan Hall, Wigmore Hall, the Barcelona Early Music Festival, the Aldeburgh Festival, the Edinburgh Festival. the Opera Theater of Mahon (Menorca), Curitiba Early Music Festival (Brazil), Tatui Early Music Festival (Brazil) and the City Festival in Athens.
I’ve given numerous broadcasts for BBC radios 2 and 3, BBC World Service, Radio and Television of Catalunia and Slovenian Radio and TV, as well as a piece for Deutsche Welle.
